HAIR TRANSPLANT: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ?
Many do not pay much attention to hair loss initially until they realize the thinning of hair leading onto baldness or androgenetic alopecia which is also called Male Pattern Baldness. Then there is a severe state of hair loss which can impact both men & women which is called Alopecia Areata where the hair falls off in clumps or in the size of a Rs 2 rupee coin.
Yes early treatment can certainly help and arrest hairfall/hairloss, these are with the help of minoxidil, finasteride, low level laser light therapy, platelet rich plasma (PRP) ketoconazole. But the recent development and advancement in surgical hair restoration that's hair transplantation is proving to be more effective, safe and reliable. More importantly it restores the youthful looks and features of those who have suffered due to hair loss.
In hair transplantation there are two methods which are followed:
A) FUT: FOLLICULAR UNIT TRANSPLANTATION In the FUT method a strip of scalp is cut from the back of the head and the hair follicles are extracted and transplanted in the areas where hair is needed. This is the older form of hair transplantation and it leaves a permanent scar at the back of the head.
B) FUE: FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION In the FUE method individual hair follicles are extracted and transplanted into the areas wherein there is hair loss, also this is a more advanced technique which is less painfull and recovery is faster.
Today Hair Transplant has really changed the dynamics of the hair loss industry as not only does it restores one's look making them youthful again, its permanent and gives them their natural look back.
